ROLE SUMMARY:

Zipcar is looking to add a Pricing Strategy Manager to the Pricing & Promotions team to lead our membership pricing strategy.  This role is highly collaborative and will require partnership with numerous teams across the Zipcar organization. In additional to working well cross-functionally, a successful candidate will leverage Zipcar’s rich data sets, A/B testing capabilities, and key performance indictors (KPI’s) to actively manage Zipcar membership offer set and develop new membership plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead Zipcar’s membership pricing strategy
  • Identify opportunities for new pricing models, and changes to existing pricing models
  • Work with the market research and competitive intelligence team to track and incorporate competitive pricing into Zipcar’s pricing strategy
  • Partner with segment and product marketing to develop pricing models and membership plans that meet end customer needs and unlock profitable growth
  • Support custom pricing for partnerships, affiliates and large enterprise customers
  • Partner with Zipcar’s acquisition team in the development of acquisition promotions and on-going offer optimization by market and customer segment using a variety of quantitative tools and financial analyses
  • Manage the inventory of current Zipcar membership plans and pricing agreement terms. Identify the need to sunset plans and lead the migration of members to new plans
  • Produce strategic analyses for leadership, and on-going reporting to the broader Zipcar organization

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or another quantitative major
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to build visual representations of data for senior management
  • Prior experience working in a role that requires significant collaboration
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines, considerable attention to detail, and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in a management consulting or product management
  • Prior experience with A/B testing is a plus
  • Must pass a Zipcar pre-employment background check and drug screen
