Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Marketing Manager, Paid Media to lead a team of talented digital marketers responsible for digital strategy development, day-to-day execution, and rigorous measurement of all paid media campaigns. You will serve as the subject matter expert for our core digital programmatic channels, paid and organic search optimization and development of new scalable profitable channels.

The ideal Zipster for this role will be a self-driven, go-getter who is creative, curious and analytical and has experience working at or with digital media agencies. We’re looking for a digital subject matter expert  who combines a deep interest in business and passion for data-driven decision-making; with demonstrated strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities:  include but are not limited to the following:

  • Own the development and execution of the company's growth plan for acquiring and engaging members via paid digital marketing channels including making recommendation on budget level and allocation for all channels, identify opportunities for growth beyond current tactics, build business case and advocate for resources.
  • Budget development and performance forecast based on overall marketing and sales goals for the company
  • Budget management across all Paid Media channels (Display, Paid Social, Paid Search…)
  • Own and manage agency relationships to ensure campaigns success and performance
  • Team Management and development
  • Ongoing optimization of the tools needed to track, report, target and optimize your channels
  • Stakeholder management and cross functional alignment

 Skills needed: 

  • Strong, demonstrated understanding of marketing approaches to customer acquisition
  • Digital native – Strong, rounded experience and familiarity with the mechanics of digital and inbound marketing; ability to quickly assess changes in the landscape (new platforms, changes to social networks, etc.) and leverage opportunities where appropriate.
  • Advanced experience in digital campaign management; Expert in key online marketing channels: Display, SEM/SEO, Social Media, Retargeting, mobile acquisition and/or Affiliate
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in digital media buying through DSP/ DMP tools; ability to drive digital media buying strategies and segmentation via a combination of historical results, audience data and other insights.
  • Experience working with multi-channel attribution models & reporting
  • Rigorous testing methodology that drives continuous improvement
  • Ability to operate at tactical level while taking a strategic viewpoint
  • Excellent communicator at all levels of the organization; ability to build consensus and strong relationships cross-functionally in order to influence, persuade, gain support, input and approvals; ability to translate concepts and ideas into compelling strategies
  • Proven analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills; Comfortable with the ambiguity that can accompany a position in a dynamic organization; self-starter
  • Strong project management skills and strengths in managing multiple projects/deadlines; ability to set priorities and be flexible in changing environments
  • Experience working cross-functionally, managing external marketing partners (e.g., marketing agencies and/or web production teams), and internal stakeholders/clients.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in a data-driven digital marketing, direct-response environment; membership acquisition marketing experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required, quantitative background preferred, Master preferred.
  • Experience managing the relationship with Digital Media agencies
  • P&L Ownership and prior management of a digital budget of over $10MM annually.
